A certain person on here will agree that this was one of my favourite cards thus far...apparrently it was something to do with beer cost 1d and I am sure my grand dads house cost Spoiler: (highlight to read) said total Spoiler: (highlight to read) Someone missed a trick by not making you add up and carry over the £SD values. I'm an aussie but managed to use google once I'd made the substitutions.
I enjoyed this puzzle very much but didn't need to carry any values to get the answer. |

Likewise once you decode the slang for some of the items they readily translate to monetary values. Place them in the right columns for '£' , shillings 's' and 'd' pence (why a 'd' for pence BTW?) then add your columns! | ||||

The first clue ("Friends" spinoff) has several possible answers (as does the Kingdom from "The Princess Bride").
At least according to Wikipedia and other, less well-known sites (a guide to Cockney slang, for instance). Anyone know if multiple answers are allowed on this, or do I just try combinations until one of them works? |

I'm (still) working on card #139 second season, and the british money system sure is weird! when I think I have it, I don't any clues? like what the heck is "grand" Huh??? a thousand pences, pennies,schillings, pounds, pickles, poop! What!?.....If I where in London right now I'd be flat broke!
